I grew up in Indianapolis, IN. I always longed to be in nature, surrounded by beauty not buildings. Heritage Lake has been my home for 22 years. It still amazes me how alive the lake is in the winter months when the temps near zero. It amazes me that our private Indiana lake is only an hour west of downtown Indianapolis. We have lots of different talented people that live at the lake, both summer home owners and those of us who stay year ’round. One talented lake resident recently sent the photo above showing geese taking flight in the morning fog over the lakefront and sent it to me. The detail is amazing. Our resident bald eagles are here this year, too. Today there was one on the ice of the main body of the lake watching the geese for a possible meal. They do this as the lake freezes up and there is less opportunity for fishing the lake. Now is the time to prepare to be on the waterfront in Indiana this spring!
