Every 4th of July-or the Saturday before-I can remember since I’ve lived at Heritage Lake (21 years) we have enjoyed the awesome professional fireworks display over the water. I don’t know what’s the best part. There are the twinkling red and green lights on all the boats lined up on the waterfront which is a show in itself! There are the cheers from the boats and decks on completion of the display in contrast to the quiet awe during the display. There’s my Dad play his according in the background with patriotic songs on the deck. The kids sit down by the fire pit barely waiting to set off their own fireworks over the lakefront. And there is the duality of the display, I don’t know which is better, the sparkles in the air or the reflection on the still water of the lake. All I know is there is no where I’d rather be. The show goes on all over the lake afterwards as residents and guests set off their own displays. No heavy traffic to get home, just a little boat traffic to maneuver. This is only one of the spectacular times we enjoy all year long at Heritage Lake. The Summer is wonderful, swimming, boating, fishing etc. The fall gives us an amazing free show of spectacular colors reflecting on the lake.
