Our resident bald eagles are here this year, too. Today there was one on the ice of the main body of the lake watching the geese for a possible meal. A person who has not owned a home for 3 years is considered a first time home buyer and may be eligilble to receive a tax credit for 10% of the price of the home up to $8000.00. You must close on the home by December 1, 2009. If you find that home in the next few weeks you could probably close by that date. Single taxpayers with incomes up to $75,000 and married couples with incomes up to $150,000 qualify for the full tax credit.
